Cactus Midnight Wavy Quilted Puffy Nylon

We love a quilted fabric that feels cozy without being too heavy or bulky, and this one is just that! Made with a smooth nylon taffeta outer and a soft layer of polyester batting, this lightweight puffer has just enough loft to give your projects a little warmth and shape while still feeling comfortable and easy to wear. It has a lovely, softly structured drape that holds its shape without feeling stiff or crunchy.

One of our favorite details is the contrasting backing and stitching on the reverse side. It's a fun little surprise that makes this fabric especially great for unlined jackets, vests, and accessories where both sides can be seen. This lightweight, pre-quilted nylon has approximately ¼" of loft. It has a gently structured drape that holds its shape without feeling stiff or crunchy. The fabric is opaque, softly padded, and comfortable to wear, making it a great option when you want a little warmth and volume without adding too much weight.

One of the best things about working with pre-quilted fabric is that all the quilting is already done for you! You get that lovely padded texture without having to sandwich and quilt the layers yourself.

Because this fabric has a little loft, we recommend keeping your seams as flat as possible to avoid unnecessary bulk. Clips are a great alternative to pins, and a slightly longer stitch length can help everything feed smoothly through your machine. Be gentle when pressing, since nylon doesn't love high heat.

Hand wash or machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Lay flat to dry. If needed, press on low heat using a pressing cloth, testing on a scrap first. Avoid high heat.
